Brooklyn French Bakers Waterfront is a bakery in Brooklyn, New York. It is listed at 273 Columbia St, Brooklyn, NY 11231, which places it among the local businesses of Brooklyn that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as pastry shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brooklyn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The best addition to the neighborhood in years. Itβs such a treat to have some of the most delicious croissants, sourdough loaves and baguettes in New York just around the corner. The real star though is the puff brioche - one of our favorite things to bring to dinner or brunch with friends (or to devour ourselves over the course of a weekend). Itβs light, fluffy, buttery and sweet and Iβll miss it every day when we move.

I would really like to be a gatekeeper and not let people know how good the croissants are here! Omg!!! They are just so scrumptious. Crispy, buttery and flaky perfection. We tried the regular croissant, chocolate croissant and we even tried the coconut macaroons. We were impressed.

We heard about this bakery on YouTube and learned they were winners of the 2023 NYβs best croissant competition. We made sure to visit them during our trip π Really nice staff and cute store in Brooklyn. To be fair, we didnβt try their plain croissants that earned win, instead we decided to go for the Chocolate croissant and Almond croissant, the latter being my favorite type. The chocolate croissant had amazing texture and was great, but it was missing the buttery flavor, one looks for in a croissant. Maybe I just couldnβt taste it - it was a really cold day. The almost croissant wasnβt quite on par with other almond croissants that Iβve tried before. I really wanted this place to be a 5-star bakery, but based on what I tried I canβt give more than 4 stars.

Pro tip: Be early. Learned that lesson the hard way as they were out of regular croissants by 11 on a Sunday. But the chocolate one was so good! I can see why this place is rated so well. It was the perfect combo of crispy, buttery crust and soft, chewy goodness inside. Hands down this may be the best chocolate croissant I have had in NYC so far.

The best croissant I've ever had!! I also loved the pain au chocolate! I will definitely be back to try everything else
